The University of British Columbia, which is one of Canada’s leading research and technology universities announced that they will launch blockchain training studies for graduate students.
When Will It Become Accessible By The Public?
The official launch date of it will be in next year’s January and one of its main focuses will be clean energy. These types of studies will be a first in Canada and the reason for implementing them is to develop skills in students about emerging technology that is high in demand and to enable economic growth.
What Do You Need To Apply?
The program will not require background knowledge in blockchain and will aim to educate 139 students in the time span of 6 years.
Who Is Backing These Studies?
This program is supported by 15 partners from different industry fields, with some companies having their worth in billions of dollars. This means that students will have a vast choice of post-graduate options for working partners in the future and that the program does not need to worry about getting funds.
As an extra UBC receives support from other partners to explore the problems emerging in the blockchain technology field and work together on fixes.
