<strong>it\u2019s nothing.<\/strong><br><\/p>\n\n\n\n<h3 class=\"wp-block-heading\"><strong>Why Are The Governments Interested In Cryptocurrency?<\/strong><\/h3>\n\n\n\n<figure class=\"wp-block-image is-resized\"><img fetchpriority=\"high\" decoding=\"async\" src=\"https:\/\/news.bitcoin.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2017\/12\/9-1520x1024.jpg\" alt=\"\" width=\"548\" height=\"369\" \/><\/figure>\n\n\n\n<p>Cryptocurrencies aren\u2019t issued by a bank, instead, crypto coins are being mined &#8211; they are <strong>computer-generated<\/strong> and they are not related to the governments, so there are no exchange rate fees.<br><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>As you know, it\u2019s digital cash &#8211; it doesn\u2019t exist in a physical form, and that makes cryptocurrency more efficient when buying products or services online, and the governments want to establish a controlled virtual currency system to increase its security, so each country is forming its own laws which regulate cryptocurrencies because there are no international laws.<br><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Some countries <strong>say yes<\/strong> to cryptocurrencies, and some &#8211; <strong>no.<\/strong><br><\/p>\n\n\n\n<h3 class=\"wp-block-heading\"><strong>Cryptocurrencies Are Legal In These Countries<\/strong><\/h3>\n\n\n\n<figure class=\"wp-block-image\"><img decoding=\"async\" src=\"https:\/\/www.escapeartist.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2017\/09\/Cryptocurrency-Under-Attack-EA.jpg\" alt=\"\" \/><\/figure>\n\n\n\n<p>Congratulations, if your country of residence is on this list, if not &#8211; check for the nearest countries to you that say yes to cryptocurrency, so you can move there.<br><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Note that in this <em>\u201clegal\u201d<\/em> list some of the included countries haven\u2019t completely legalized cryptocurrencies &#8211; there are some <strong>minimal regulations.<\/strong><br><\/p>\n\n\n\n<h4 class=\"wp-block-heading\"><strong>The USA<\/strong><\/h4>\n\n\n\n<p>Cryptocurrencies are pretty advanced in the USA and the country has a positive stance toward cryptocurrency.<br><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>However, the government of the USA has created a few agencies that work with a mission to stop cryptocurrencies from getting used for <strong>illegal transactions.<\/strong><br><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Most people consider that as a plus, but some might view it negatively.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Also, worth noting is, that you can use Bitcoin in the USA not only for online purchases &#8211; it\u2019s possible to use it as a payment in some progressive businesses like <strong>Subway<\/strong> when buying a sandwich.<br><\/p>\n\n\n\n<h4 class=\"wp-block-heading\"><strong>Canada<\/strong><\/h4>\n\n\n\n<p>Also, this Northern American country is positive towards cryptocurrencies and the government of Canada isn\u2019t looking at cryptocurrency from the sideline.<br><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>They are actively ensuring that cryptocurrencies aren\u2019t used for <strong>money laundering.<\/strong><br><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>However, the biggest Canadian banks <strong>have banned cryptocurrency <\/strong>transactions with their credit\/debit cards.<br><\/p>\n\n\n\n<h4 class=\"wp-block-heading\"><strong>Australia<\/strong><\/h4>\n\n\n\n<p>The Aussies have no hate towards cryptocurrency and in Australia, cryptocurrencies are considered a <strong>regular currency<\/strong> &#8211; like all other currencies, so you can legally trade, buy or mine them.<br><\/p>\n\n\n\n<h4 class=\"wp-block-heading\"><strong>The European Union<\/strong><\/h4>\n\n\n\n<p>Most countries of the European Union allow cryptocurrency, but some specific EU countries have formed their own laws for cryptocurrency.<br><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Some of them are:<\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\"><li><strong>Finland.<\/strong> The Finns classify cryptocurrency as a financial service, not as a currency, which means &#8211; value-added tax.<\/li><li><strong>Belgium.<\/strong> Belgium has also made sure cryptocurrencies don\u2019t have a value-added tax.<\/li><li><strong>Cyprus.<\/strong> In Cyprus, they completely don\u2019t care about what you are doing with cryptocurrency. There are <strong>no regulations or laws<\/strong> for cryptocurrencies.<\/li><li><strong>In the United Kingdom<\/strong>, the Brits are supportive of cryptocurrency and there are several tax regulations for cryptocurrencies.<\/li><li><strong>Bulgaria.<\/strong> Cryptocurrency is under its existing tax laws.<\/li><li><strong>Germany.<\/strong> Cryptocurrency in Germany is a legal currency but they are taxed differently.<\/li><\/ul>\n\n\n\n<p>However, the <strong>European Central Bank<\/strong> is working on identifying the financial risks of using cryptocurrencies. <br><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>And that\u2019s a reason for Europeans to be nervous because it could bring some regulations OR maybe positive improvements.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Now, let\u2019s move to countries that say no to cryptocurrencies.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h3 class=\"wp-block-heading\"><strong>Cryptocurrency Is Illegal Here<\/strong><\/h3>\n\n\n\n<figure class=\"wp-block-image\"><img decoding=\"async\" src=\"https:\/\/coindoo.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2018\/11\/crypto-illegal.jpg\" alt=\"\" \/><\/figure>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>Bad news<\/strong> for those who live in the following countries, but at least now you know some places where you can move.<br><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Cyprus is a good option, right?<br><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Anyways, the countries who say no to cryptocurrencies must have some reasons to do that.<br><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>It could be a whole list of reasons, like its <strong>volatility<\/strong>, not being centralized or it being used for <strong>illegal transactions<\/strong>, such as <strong>drug trafficking<\/strong> and money laundering.<br><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>But not all of these countries have completely banned cryptocurrencies, some governments have just cut support to them, so it\u2019s difficult to trade and use cryptocurrencies.<br><\/p>\n\n\n\n<h4 class=\"wp-block-heading\"><strong>China<\/strong><\/h4>\n\n\n\n<p>The Chinese government really dislikes cryptocurrencies.<br><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>In fact, all Chinese banks and financial institutions are banned from transacting cryptocurrency, and cryptocurrency exchanges are also banned.<br><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>The hate is real for cryptocurrencies in China so they\u2019ve also banned <strong>cryptocurrency mining.<\/strong> But surprisingly the Chinese government says they are supportive of the idea of creating international laws for cryptocurrencies.<br><\/p>\n\n\n\n<h4 class=\"wp-block-heading\"><strong>Russia<\/strong><\/h4>\n\n\n\n<p>In Russia, there are no regulations for cryptocurrency but there is one sad thing.<br><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>You can\u2019t use cryptocurrencies as a payment method to purchase goods or services because in Russia &#8211; it\u2019s illegal.<br><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>At least, better than China.<br><\/p>\n\n\n\n<h4 class=\"wp-block-heading\"><strong>Bolivia, Columbia, and Ecuador<\/strong><\/h4>\n\n\n\n<p>These Latin American countries are worth noting because they have completely banned the use of cryptocurrencies and, in Ecuador, ALL cryptocurrencies were banned after a majority vote in the national assembly. <strong>True democracy.<\/strong><br><\/p>\n\n\n\n<h3 class=\"wp-block-heading\"><strong>The Rules Will Definitely Change<\/strong><\/h3>\n\n\n\n<figure class=\"wp-block-image\"><img decoding=\"async\" src=\"https:\/\/complyadvantage.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2018\/07\/Crypto-Map-Final-Friday.bmp\" alt=\"\" \/><\/figure>\n\n\n\n<p>The first cryptocurrency, Bitcoin, is <strong>10 years old<\/strong> and for a currency that counts as <strong>relatively new,<\/strong> so &#8211; many countries and their governments have no laws for cryptocurrencies or the regulations aren\u2019t very specific.<br><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><em>What does it mean for the future?<\/em><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>The laws and regulations will change when the governments will have fully analyzed cryptocurrencies.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>But now, it\u2019s tough to predict if the laws are going to change for the good of cryptocurrencies or the <strong>worse.<\/strong><br><\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>One question.
